First round draft pick should be a tackle.

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; BnB... do you watch football? I thought that Derrick Johnson was a CB.. \"if Derrick Johnson is still there, you take him. Been a while since a linebacking prospect of his caliber has been drafted.\" :iamwst: ...

Methinks you are too quick to try and prove me wrong on anything, young Boccal. You are referring to the Univeristy of Washington DB, Derrick Johnson. But, you failed to notice one of the top seniors in the country, Derrick Johnson, linebacker, University of Texas, for whom I was referring to.
Do you watch enough football?

Yeah that was rush on my part lol! See sometimes my Bi-polar gets the best of me and I am powerless. This is one of those times when I will take my foot out of my mouth just long enough to say I’m sorry. But you are right he’s the best tackler I’ve seen since Joe Montana. :seeingstars:

Tackler? but I thought Joe Montana played wide receiver... oh well, I must\'ve been thinking of Joe Isuzu.

With the 12th pick of the 2005 draft, the New Orleans Saints select:
\"(Insert name here), defensive lineman from (insert college here)\"

Dberce.....

I will say about next years draft, I don\'t care who\'s on the board, if Derrick Johnson is still there, you take him.
I\'ve never seen this guy play, but I\'ve seen this guy in the #1 position on mock drafts. He sounds like a veritable beast. And LB is certainly the need position in my mind.

When was the last time a LB went in the #1 spot?

LT went with the #2, that\'s the highest I can think of. Arrington was the last to go top 5, and he went #3.

First round draft pick should be a tackle.

It\'s only happened four times, and one of those was Benarik, who was at least half center.

Year - Player - Pos - School - Team - Years Played - Pro Bowls
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
1949 - Chuck Bednarik - c/lb - Pennsylvania - Philadelphia - 12 - 8
1966 - Tommy Nobis - lb - Texas - Atlanta - 11 - 5
1979 - Tom Cousineau - lb - Ohio State - Buffalo - 6 - 0
1988 - Aundray Bruce - lb - Auburn - Atlanta - 11 - 0
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I\'m getting excited thinking about this. If Haz is gone, we might actually draft this guy... though I\'m sure he\'ll go in the top ten. And this time we won\'t have 17 and 18 to package together.

Man, this is a shame..... Here it is, early October, and here I am already past the season, looking at the draft. When will this team finally reward the fans.

Thirty-seven years is too long.

can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.

Qui a laissez sortir les chiens!
