Mike (New Orleans): What is the problem with the Saints? Haslett? Venturi? or the players? Will Benson keep his cool throughout the season?

Jim Haslett is not the problem. After 37 years of suffering with the Saints, I am not going to be satisfied with another coach being sacrificed to shield rot somewhere in the ownership.

Instead of putting a winning team on the field, the Saints ownership prefers to whine for a new stadium every year when they already have one of the most futuristic facilities ever built.

To add insult to injury, Mr. Benson has even threatened to move the team to San Antonio when he doesn\'t get his way with the Louisiana state government.

New Orleans fans, the most loyal and long-suffering fans in the NFL, deserve better than this. Mr. Benson, take your competitively bankrupt franchise somewhere else if you wish. See if a new city will continue to fill the stadium to watch your football version of professional wrestling. New Orleans deserves a winner and I\'m sure there are other teams that will jump at the chance to bring a winner to the Louisiana Superdome.

has anyone noticed that ever since venturi has been there the saints suck? they never get rid of him just move him around....

when he was RB coach, the RB were terrible
when he was DB coach, they too were terrible...
now he is DEF coord, and they too are pretty bad...

I heard a comment Has made on his postgame show I THINK to Kenny Wilkerson. It was in relation to the fans booing after a home game. He said something to the effect that no other crowds boo their home team, they stick with their team the whole game. But New Orleans is different and he guessed they\'d just have to adjust. Does anyone else remember a comment like that? It turned my stomach when I heard it. There is no Saints fan other than a long-suffering Saints fan. I think we\'ve earned our right to boo. This team, including the coach can take no responsibility for ANYTHING!! I believe like lots of ther people that this is an incredibly talented team that is being killed with mental breakdowns. It can all be traced back to the coaching staff!! I know his first stint in the NFL wasn\'t great, but maybe Benson should give Pete Carroll a call & tell him to bring Norm Chow w/him!!

If we lose to the Vikings they need to walk the entire coaching staff out of the building. This crap is getting very old, very rapidly. I am tired of hearing about the little things we did well and not about the big things we do to lose games to teams who are the bottom feeders of the NFL.

I\'m not so sure - in fact I\'m really doubtful of that. NO is not one of the 32 largest markets in the country - I\'m not even sure if it\'s top 50 anymore... and it\'s continuing to shrink. Perpetually uneducated, poor, and politically corrupt towns don\'t lure NFL teams. And while the rest of the cities in the country grow, NO has no room to expand - unless you want to start lining up house boats in the lake... If the Saints leave, I doubt you\'ll ever see football in NO again.

Im not so sure they wouldnt put football back in NO for one reason only. The superbowl. The NFL loves having the superbowl in NO, and wont play the superbowl in a town where there is no NFL team.
