Reminded me of the Saints of old....play not to lose. With a QB like Brady it was way to much time left. Your defense can only hold up so long. I like the effort the team gave, we just didn't have the killer instinct at the end to put the Patriots away.

The whole game had kind of a weird ebb & flow to it and I think what we may have witnessed was an epic NFL battle of strategies between two of the premier head coaches in the history of the game, two of the elite quarterbacks in the history of the game, and two of the gamest teams in the league.

It don't get any better then it did on Sunday and it sucks to be on the losing end of a game like that, but all that win did for the Pats was to put them in the 5-1 club right alongside the Saints ... just sayin', :mrgreen:.

We live to fight another day ... ;).

That was no where near the patriots best football bro, sorry. They played good enough to beat the saints but they were missing alot of key guys and definitely could have played better.

2011 who called the plays that lead to a historical offense? Carmichael.

2012 who called the plays for the offense that lead the league (offense that was good enough to have a 7-9 record with the worst Defense in the history of the NFL)? Carmichael.

Who said that if his play calling doesn't get better he will turn it over (to Carmichael)? oh yeah, it was Payton.

Are you new, or do you not realize how well our offense has functioned when SP hasn't called the plays?

Brees only looks at jimmy graham, it took him 3 quarters to throw to a different receiver

Talib and the Pats said they had the answer to Graham; Brees, Payton, and Graham wanted to prove them otherwise. Ego got in the way perhaps?

Who knows when Graham suffered his injury or what would have happened if he would have stayed healthy

I know what yous are saying bro'. But credit where credit is due New England brought their best game. And criticism where criticism is due. The Saints were playing with the intention of winning. But there was a, how can I say it?...oh thanks Boutte, that works.... and then some that looked like we never wanted the win.

An incredible game. I am exhausted by all aspects of the game. New England's O, our D, New England's D, Our O, the officiating. Probably a game I will never forget.

It is what it is.
