As I've said, there is no shame in losing to that team - to Bill and Tom in particular. I was over it about 3 minutes after we lost. 5-1 at the bye is as good any anyone could have reasonably expected, and the one we lost is the easiest to stomach, considering it's NE and they're AFC.

We be just fine.

Re: Putting Things In a Rational Perspective

another thing to add is this is our 2nd road game following the bears which was an intense, emotional, and important game for several reasons. To beat the bears at soldier feild and go play the pats at their home feild and bearly lose a game we shoulda won.....Im pretty happy where we stand.

Payton will correct our issues.

Re: Putting Things In a Rational Perspective

I pretty much agree with Hagan on this one.

I do disagree it was a blue print to beat us though. I think it was our game to win in the end and Sean chose to play to lose.

Typically he goes for the throat, "foot to the pedal". This time he took it off. Making the first down or taking a shot at the end zone when you're on the 20 with 2:33 to go to go up 8 instead we lay down with the ball. That was not Sean-like. Not running the score up on his buddy cost us the game. Sure you can point to a lot of reasons we could have one but in the final 2 minutes it was our game to lose.

so decisions and coaching cost us this, despite being out played in the first half.

Re: Putting Things In a Rational Perspective

Lesson learned and against a team that doesn't affect our NFC standings, no biggie.
