Haslett on Bucs Game: Outstanding in all three phases

Haslett talked about the 20-17 loss to Tampa Bay. "I thought this was our best game of the year by far running the football on offense," he said. "We did a lot of good things running the football, just like we wanted to. I thought it was our best game on defense stopping the run. We scored 17 points, we didn't give up a sack, we played good in the red zone on offense, but the disappointing thing is you turn the ball over twice. On defense, we only gave up 13 points, played really well in the red zone, and had four sacks. The effort was outstanding in all three phases. But, the poor thing was third down. To me, the poorest thing about out defense was not getting the ball back with 3:45 to go. I thought we were bad on kickoff coverage then. The special teams were again outstanding except for the kickoff coverage unit the last play. They had a hands team on and had eight guys up, it's a perfect scenario to kick it deep with three timeouts and the two-minute warning. We kick it deep and miss three tackles and the guy gets out to the 45 yard line. We had them pinned at the 15. Then, they get two first downs on us and wasted all our timeouts and the two-minute warning. So for me, that was probably the most disappointing thing about the defensive play. We had a chance to get the ball back for the offense and at least get a field goal or the winning touchdown and we never got the ball back."

Hey, put it back BMG, don\'t let the other side control you. We would have one if Deuce was\'nt playing. There someone had to say it, where are the fumbles coming from?

hmmm... then why didn`t we go on 4th down on the half yard line?...hmmm... He usually makes gutsy calls like that.... I was surprised he didn`t in that situation.

We did a lot of good things running the football, just like we wanted to
Where was the passing game? It\'s not just running the ball, Coach. Plus, Deuce fumbled twice. Look at the negatives along with the positives. You\'re blinded, man!

I thought it was our best game on defense stopping the run.
Against Michael Pittman and Mike Alstott? Give me a break. It\'s not like you stopped a combination of Mike Vick, LaDanian Tomlinson, and Ahman Green. My 12 year old nephew could stop Pittman for a 3 yard loss. When you are so easily excited that you praise your defense for stopping the Bucs running game, it\'s like getting a letter from Publisher\'s Clearing House. You know it\'s going to happen, but not surprised when you don\'t win. All stopping the running game did was allow the Bucs passing game to shred what everyone knows is the weak link.......THE SECONDARY.

The special teams were again outstanding except for the kickoff coverage unit the last play.
Then why in the hell could they not get blocks for Michael Lewis on kick and punt returns? Not saying the Beer Man had his best game ever, but Tampa Bay swarmed to the ball on special teams like policemen to the doughnut shop when the fresh batch comes out of the oven.

In short, I have 3 words for Jim Haslett......GET A CLUE!!!!!!

People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.
