I assume you exist to keep an eye on content, but what else does the role confer upon you. Next time I'll keep my questions about this sort of stuff on the other board. Thanks

I would be happy to answer your question, if I knew what the question was.

I believe it works this way....

The site administrator flags people that are active on the board, people that keep their posts fairly clean and respectable. After he flags a few, he gives them increased permissions on the board, so they can police posts that are nasty or obscene.

In effect, pick a few veteran posters, give the power to edit other people\'s posts, and ask them to keep the peace.

That way, the administrator doesn\'t have to monitor things personally, and frees up time to play with other issues (like making sure too much bandwidth doesn\'t get eaten up, that the site actually funtions, that disks don\'t run out of space, fun stuff like that).

can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.

Qui a laissez sortir les chiens!

Moderators are Cyber Cops .

The end result changes though , instead of locking you in a room we lock you out of one if you do not play nice .....
