Ryan Griffin is the QB Sean Payton hand picked in the draft.
He was coached and played at Tulane in an identical offense to the Saints under Curtis Johnson, former Saints Wide Receiver coach and Payton deciple.
Don't let the Tulane record fool you, he was their only weapon along with Matt Forte (2008) for a time.

This is potentially Drew Brees, II... but definitely not for another 3-4 years down the line.

Doesn't work that way brother. Someone from the 53 has to be dropped. Active/inactive on the 53 doesn't matter. IR is a possibility if we have someone eligible that we want to keep.

Well that explains why we never saw him get much playing time. Apparently he wasn't very good.

I still think ILB is his best position, but we already have about 5 of them on our roster.

Maybe Wilson wasn't good enough like everyone wanted... Just maybe they like Keyunta Dawson more, I'll trust them because they've seen him play and we haven't...
