|Mitch| I'm not certain that Patrick Robinson is back on the team next season. With his cap number and the versatility of both K.Vaccarro and M. Jenkins, he may become a victim of numbers.

Carr or Greer would be gone before Robinson. Remember Robinson was starting opposite Lewis before his injury...

My guess would be Carr... he has looked lost and a step late at times when he gets in on 3rd and long situations.

His cap number? He's on a rookie contract, he hasn't done anything that would warrant a substantial salary and if next offseason is anything like last years, it's gonna be a buyers' market for free agent corners. He stays.

I'm just not comfortable with P. Rob anywhere on the field. In my opinion he's a liability.........but then again Jenkins scared me until this year. He's really taken to Ryans scheme. So, maybe there is hope.

Remember: Drew Brees quarterbacks coach at San Diego was Brian Schottenheimer; then he came to New Orleans...

We've really not had a decent, good defensive coordinator until now; and while he's not great, he's getting better and he's got a pulse on this YOUNG, FASTER defense...

WhoDatFan26 welcome aboard

on the books thru 2015 - not going anywhere really quick
Greer
White
the swap is already in place.

thru 2014 - hmmmmmm
Robinson - he is young and has showed some upside the odds are he would be picked up if cut and we would be off the hook cap wise. heck the radars could claim him off waivers. but then there is depth issues to look at. Carr could re up m another aging vet ot the draft

FA this year Jenkins has to be resigned or a replacement needs to found. No i do not see an upgrade to Jenkins on the roster.

it will interesting to watch unfold

Carr has looked lost for a fair share of his time on the field, and he looked absolutely terrible last season's preseason with the Vikes who ended up cutting him before the final 53. I just don't see him as anything more than a band-aid at the moment and Robinson, White and Sweeting should all be placed above him on the depth chart when healthy.

With regards to Jenkins and his future with the team - I honestly wouldn't be upset to see both Harper and Jenkins depart after this season both because of their (potential) cap numbers and what they actually bring on to the field. Jenkins has been a better fit to this defensive scheme than the last one, but the same could be said about practically every defensive player on the roster. Jenkins still makes blatant misreads pre-snap and has major problems with his tackling fundamentals. I'd rather see Vaccaro paired with either a FA or a rookie safety to form the starting pair, and have the likes of IA-Q and Bush serve as depth behind those guys.
