Bounce back games after getting embarrassed usually result in a win.

The Jets game will be our toughest game of the year so far. We will get their A-game. I have no doubt about that.

I just saw their schedule. This may be a bad omen...

Ryan vs Ryan. I'm picking Ryan.

Grass field. Good defense we will play. Geno is on then off again. Early thoughts are that they give us a run by halftime and then we turn it on 2nd half.

But it's early in the week and my head hurts. Early odds have us giving 5pts. So about an 8pt swing. It will be closer than last game. Did I mention anything about it being early?

FIRST OFF The Jets have a great looking pass rush and that may be an Issue with the woes our OL has had this season but I expect nothing less than a Air show I think the jets don't have the coverage LB's to get the job done on Graham so they won't blitz as much as they normally do this game. I LIVE IN NEW JERSEY I'm desperately trying to get tickets any body on the east coast not looking to go to the game MY DAD IS A JET FAN AND I Remember He took me to my first Saints game the last Time they Came to Play the Jets at the Meadow Lands IF ANY BODY IN NY/NJ knows anyone with tix not interested in going to the game I might be interested in buying your seats for the game preferably on the away sideline!

Grass field.

If I'm not mistaken, MetLife is a turf field.

This game concerns me especially after the Jets are coming off an embarrassing loss to Cincy. I too expect them to play much, much better on Sunday. Something tells me that the Jets won't be able to outscore the Saints .. Who dat by 7.

Re: Saints vs Jets

This will be a tough game, we will have to get after Geno but also keep someone as a spy because he is a very mobile guy and likes to escape the pocket.

We can't let ivory get a head full of steam and hurt us, Expect us to stack the box and force Geno to beat us.

Set Junior and cam loose on him, force him into some errant passes

Re: Saints vs Jets

I think it will be close at first but i think we will pull away by the 3rd quarter. They have secondary issues that will be exposed by then and geno will be geno. Saints by 14

Re: Saints vs Jets

Andy Dalton is a good young QB, but not 49 points good. Dalton threw 30 passes for 325 yards with one pick and one sack and 5 TDs. He had a career day. The Bengals have a solid D and a good and improving offense.

Smith was 20 of 30 for only 159 yards with four sacs and two picks. From the Jet's games I've seen, Smith is average on a good day. Our D has been able to consistently pressure QB's. This has resulted in 24 sacs and 9 ints so far.

I see the Jets as being a grade below Buffalo, especially at QB and D line. So, if Bree's has time he should shred the Jets secondary. Barring big mistakes....the game is ours.

In the past an athletic QB would have scared the hell out of me, but our speed on D has improved greatly. If the Jets look at the tape and see the number of hits on Lewis, they will keep Geno in the pocket Sunday.

I can't see their offense hurting us much, which puts it on Drew's shoulders. Gotta feel good about that

They beat the Falcons by 3.. Need I say more?

Marty Mornhinweg's offense (with a rookie QB) vs Rex Ryan's new & improved defense? ... I have a hard time entertaining a Jets win in this one, even at home and especially after what Cincy did to 'em ... it's kinda' like 'Buffalo Bills, Part Deux',.

Where is Rex getting the scoop this time?

Re: Saints vs Jets

We are obviously a much better team, but them coming of a very embarrassing loss and us going to their house could bode well for them. I think we take this one in a close one. Our opportunistic defense should put Smith in his place. Because of the Ryan connection this one will feel like a division game to the players and coaches and I believe we will get their best effort.

the jets the worst team in the nfl earlier on just behind baltimore. houston superbowl bound, jets are as competitive as ever, texans runnin over the hills in harris county ravens slightly offbeat, why is it we go north to boston after tom flops in cincy. and he plays mvp in final 15sec. jets get the jp4 handed to um and guess who has to deal with the rebound again, we will not give this one back promise, payton saints 45 - robs jets, jets jets -24

Halo 10-28-2013 11:17 PM

Re: Saints vs Jets

Trap game. Jets are a bipolar team. One week they get beat, the next their defense is lights out and their young QB shows up and looks good. They'll give us their best shot for sure - they took last week off and this week they'll show up. I'll gladly accept a win in the last moments in a squeaker.

Yeah....what he said. Ya'll ladies buckle up your chin straps, we goin' for a ride in New Jersey.

I think the Jets let the ass whippin' get to them. They play hard the first half -- we only score twice. But, the PTSD from this demoralization gets to them in the second half, as does their lack of an answer for JG and Kenny Stills. We win.

IDK 'bout that. This week at home blew pretty hard.

Re: Saints vs Jets

"Trap game"... there's that term again.

The Jets were embarrassed by the Bengals, sure, but Payton was obviously pissed by his team performance after a 35-17 win. So I don't expect Payton to let up.

SloMotion 10-29-2013 04:54 AM

Re: Saints vs Jets

"Bipolar" ... that describes the Jets to a "t" ... this is a game I view not as winnable for the Jets, but rather it's the Saints' to lose. Emotions are gonna' be high because of the obvious ... the 'Ryan' connection, the devastating loss to NYJ last week, the Saints being 6-1, et... and I'd fully expect it to be an exciting game except ... no Santonio Holmes for NYJ, Geno Smith is a rookie, a fumble machine, has 8 TD passes w/13 INT's and Marty Mornhinweg as an OC (which explains a lot of the 'bipolar' issue). Rob's defense is gonna' eat these boys up.

Honestly, I'm more worried about how the chilly weather is gonna' affect NO more than anything.
