Wait for it....

Even we could rush for 100+ against them

Won. What the heck was that last play? Well stuck at #2 for another week.

very poor play-call, a screen would have killed them

Thank god we get to play both.

Re: Seahawks

what pisses me off when I see games end like this, is the fact when they have a chance to win it and they do a complete 180 from what was working before. Terrible plays in the redzone, no screen pass or anything.

Re: Seahawks

The Rams' Kicker cost them the game. I really hope SP and Loomis were watching this and started to make some calls. I don't know to whom but there has to be an option out there other than Hartley...

Re: Seahawks

all I know is, we need to have HFA and force Seattle come to the dome assuming we get into the playoffs and nothing happens between now and then.

And no weapons whatsoever on offense. A game they could have easily won... not impressed at all with the Sea chickens.

Signs of Weaknres

Seattle barely winning, I see us beating them come December. No mistakes and strong dline and oline play. I hope the rest of the NFC takes notes.. I was really hoping they lost.

Halo 10-28-2013 11:30 PM

Re: Seahawks

For some reason I knew the Rams would blow it, like when they where 1st and 10 from the 5. I just knew they would blow it and said it to myself.

Seattle can be beat. They pulled a hat trick tonight which is the mark of a good team, but they're starting tackle. Regardless, the Seahags looked a mess, and I think our d line is better than the Rams.

Re: Seahawks

That missed field goal really came back to haunt the rams. If they make that a field goal on the last drive wins it. Shows how valuable special teams can be. I just hope that game doesn't cost us home field.

WHODATINCA 10-28-2013 11:45 PM

Re: Seahawks

Too right. They can be beat. Winning against them will turn on excellent D-play and our O-Line. Really need to get it together there.

Wow, Long and Quinn put Russell on his back all night!! The Seahawks had 7 first downs to Rams 23!! And, 339 yds to Seattle's 135 yds.!!! Only 44 yards rushing!! Skittles my a$$.

The Rams ran the ball well in that last drive. That last drive looked like a different two teams. In hindsight, last play should have been a run disguised as a pass. Jeff Fisher needs to rethink his play calling. I hope Sean Payton watches that game.

Of course, they weren't playin' at the Link either. If Sam Bradford had been playing -- they would have won.

Also, other teams could look at our game against the Bucs and say the same thing -- ok, it was raining -- but still, the Bucs at least still had their starting QB.

Tell you one thing, the Hawks are fired-up. They believe and they are a family. They are goin' for it all.

Re: Seahawks

most people dont believe and refuse to believe when I say Seattle is not great on the road.

unfortunate part about this is that Seattle has a cupcake schedule on the road where they can play badly and still win.

But who knows, they could essentially still lose to Atl, NY, and SF.

All I know is the one thing I do not want is for the Saints to have travel out West come playoff time. But I think I would feel more comfortable going to Seattle than to SF. I think Seattle is like the Falcons to some degree with all the smoke and mirrors.

Re: Seahawks

Seattle's defense is night and day different between home and away and don't go forgetting that. Other than that, yes they are very beatable; as long as we shut down Lynch, which is the key to Wilsons passing predictability.

Now while everyone is still being reasonable.

Re: Seahawks

They are a good team, but I'm not ready to crown them or anything. Their schedule makes them look better than they are, and they have had the benefit of playing a couple of teams that were experiencing unexpected temporary meltdowns or implosions, that were unrelated to the Seahawks' play. When they line up against a real team (Indy, Houston) they don't look so invincible to me.

Re: Seahawks

Seattle is a different team on the road. This is why we need the #1 seed.

TheOak 10-29-2013 07:16 AM

Re: Seahawks

Here are the Splits on Seattle:

5 Away Games and 3 Home
Offense

Home Scoring/game 31.3
Away Scoring/game 22.2

Home Passing Comp% 68.5
Away Passing Comp% 59.7

Home Yards/Game 231
Away Yards/Game 179

Home Rushing YPC 4.1
Away Rushing YPC 4.7

Defense

Home Points allowed/game 11
Away Points allowed/game 18.4

Home Sacks/Game 3
Away Sacks/Game 3.4

Home Yard/game 231.6
Away Yards/game 323.8

I will frame this with they have only faces SF, Jac, Ten at home and Jacksonville put up 17 on them... Jacksonville is dead last in points scored/game @10.8

Bingo!!!!! we have a winner

is it by chance, not inferring a thing here, that the saints not only travel to seattle but have the good luck of catching them after a bye week and not the nfc south division winner? hmmmm i wonder is there a rat in the head office that is stacking cards?.

the road to the super bowl in the nfc will be home field advantage.

Re: Seahawks

Since 2003 The Saints and Seahawks have alternated H/A games... There is no conspiracy.

2013 Seattle
2010 New Orleans
2007 Seattle
2004 New Orleans
2003 Seattle

We play Seattle in Seattle because we get the 49ers at home.
In 2010 we had the Seahawks at home and 49ers away
In 2004 the 49ers came to us and we went to Oakland.

St Louis (Fisher) showed everyone how to contain Russell Wilson with the 8 man front. And Drew would have destroyed that Seattle defense last night.

We seriously need Harper back for the 3 safety set by then.

Yeah, all I hear is "just think what the Seahawks will do to us"... well all I saw was a sorry performance they eeked out against 1) Texans, 2) Rams, 3) they're down by 14 to the Bucs.

Proves 2 points:
1) Don't count yourself out - any given Sunday ANYTHING can happen and
2) Don't get too down about today because ANY GIVEN SUNDAY ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!!

I'm tired of hearing how invincible the Seahawks are. They have sloppy sloppy games just like we have ours (and other teams too).

PS - They also beat Carolina like 12-7 on ALL field goals first week AND now they're down 21-0 to the SUCS! :p
