Re: Trade Deadline Today

This is the most worthless trade deadline in all of sports, no one that could make any impact will move teams today

Glazer: Seahawks not pursuing Jared Allen

The man who first reported that Vikings defensive end Jared Allen could be traded now reports that the Seahawks are not in the hunt to trade for him.

Contrary to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that, while two teams are indeed exploring the possibility of trading for Allen, the Seahawks are not in the mix — and they have not been talking to the Vikings.

It’s unclear at this point whether a deal will happen. Coincidentally (or not), the Vikings signed free-agent defensive end Justin Trattou on Tuesday. If Allen goes, Trattou would keep the head count of defensive ends at the same number.
Halo likes this.

"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

To me it didn't really make sense. Seahawks have a loaded defensive line already. Why would they overload it if they seriously need some offensive line help? That was exposed last night.

Yeah, because pretty much nobody has the cap space... and if they did, we would all be wondering why the GMs didn't use the money earlier

Pro-rate and add a 1-2% at the break, or extend the deadline by a month so the new team only has to assume 33% of the incoming player's salary
