I like to read the blurbs about each team. Its no different than 90% of the threads on every NFL site. Its an opinion of what someone thinks of your team, as well as other teams.

Not necessarily, the rankings of individuals usually involves stats and I'm a stat whore. Therefore I find there to be intrigue. The ranking of teams with the subjective "power" concept is normally pure biased opinion for the most part, with little regard to anything other than perception.


I know you listen to NFLSirius, ever heard Pat Kerwin refer to his power rankings? I'm paraphrasing but it's more 'my power rankings that I do because the network makes me do them' , than anything he believes in...

Power Rankings are done to generate traffic to websites because people eat it up.... Ever head them read over the radio, in news print, shown on TV? I haven't...

I rarely hear any top 10 lists on the radio either, but no one ever complains about those, and they are every bit as biased opinions as power rankings and every bit as meaningless.

In fact, I'd bet 90% of all threads on sports forums are about someone's opinion about something.

But for some reason power rankings posts are ridiculed and the rest aren't. Sorry, but that seems dumb. Maybe it makes people feel superior by degrading them. Thats kinda sad and pathetic in my opinion, especially when they know its a power ranking thread.

Anyhoo, those that can, play. Those that can't, act like they can.

On a few power rankings I saw we lost a spot on a BYE week.... If someone can make sense of that, I'll read them all from now on. For what it is worth, I do not do mock drafts either.
