My Obersvation of Corey White

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Great eye, my man. Raw, raw, raw, but he is coming on to be a good full-time starter on this defense. Just wish he could figure out not hitting QB's above the shoulder pads. Do like this kid, regardless....

Re: My Obersvation of Corey White

well i still say it was a clean hit. he never lowered his head. he wanted to see the QB's eyes roll to the back of head when he hit him. even with the pantzy rules it was clean

The same would go for Bush (not Reggie) but White has been a gem since he picked off Ryan ... now only if he could stop getting dum penalties.

What I noticed about White...

He know how to tackle. The man can hold a clinic on hot to tackle. Where to place your head, where to wrap up. Its not about hitting as much as how you do it.

I also would feel better with J.Greer at Safety, Free Safety to be exact. Even if they put Jabari in the slot would be better. He would match up perfectly against those smaller slot receivers.

Yeah. He can hit the QB in the head perfectly.

I've noticed that about his tackling ability, too. He doesn't dive at ankles like we've seen in the past. He does it the right way and with authority. He makes sure the ball carrier doesn't make it another inch. More often than not, he knocks them back a few.
