Darren Sproles cleared to play against Cowboys
 

New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles was forced to leave last Sunday’s game against the New York Jets after suffering a concussion in the first quarter.

According to Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Sproles has been cleared to play this Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

Sproles was tackled by Jets’ safety Antonio Allen after a 2-yard reception. He left the game and did not return. Players sustaining concussions have to clear tests per the league’s concussion protocol in order to get back on the field.

Sproles fully participated in practice with the Saints on Wednesday. Sproles has just 30 carries for 118 yards and one touchdown as a rusher this season, but has been a massive weapon for New Orleans in the passing game. He has 37 catches for 368 yards and a touchdown on the year.

That in itself will throw off Dallas' pass rush. Sproles is the best check down back in the game, even if Ware plays we can just check it down to Sproles and he'll be gone.

So if Colston plays expect him to get 2 catches, this offense has become force the ball to Jimmy, check down to Sproles, throw a bone to everyone else and run the ball 5 times a game ..... Sweet

I thought you had to sit out at least one game after suffering a concussion. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's gonna play.

hope we don't over abuse the little guy. he can be a game changer but at a high cost. hes been taking a pounding, and they will continue to try and take him out, thats what i'm worried about.

Don't like him in the return game but I understand why. I still would not mind seeing Chris Williams activated if we have that luxury late in the season for that role.
