I'm not saying his worries are over. That remains to be seen, but none of our backs have been good THIS year, and that's on the OL in my humble opinion.
yep, but I dont consider smith to be a great RB because he had the best OL for years in dallas. B.Sanders, W.payton, MA, AP, and etc did not have great OL, but still produced. Even Duece was great because our OL was not that good at the time. Comparing MI to someone like Deuce is pretty insane, and Deuce was a very good RB. Deuce didnt need OL to break out 10-40% of the time during the game, and teams really feared him.
Teams fear PT, but not MI, because hes done nothing. 1 game is not going to change that.

Saints proved that pigs could fly in 2009.
Now its time for another miracle SuperBowl and go where no pig has gone before.

we'll see, I'm not expecting a great game next week from any of our running backs. I'll be happy if we can keep all of them in the game against the head-hunting 49ers D...

Ingram is a dump truck, PT is a dependable sedan, Sproles is a race car. They're all different so comparing them to each other is stupid. We're going to need all of them playing well if we're going to win the Superbowl or anything else. End of discussion.

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)

One thing I really loved was that:
1.) We split the carries between both PT & MI by quarters
2.) We also ran screen plays with MI, so that we proved that we wont change the offense based on the players

If Sean Payton continues to run the offense the same regardless of who is in the backfield, its gonna cause alot of sleepless nights for defensive coordinators.

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)

It has been so hard to watch him struggle in games after being such a training camp hero. I'm really glad that he has shown some glimmer of the potential that we drafted him for. That said, one game does not a great player make. Dallas wasn't ready for the looks that we brought him in, San Francisco will be, and Seattle will be later on. Tonight he proved to me that he has the talent that I was doubting; next week, and for the rest of the season, he still has to prove that he really belongs here.

I've always supported this guy but I'll admit I was a little angry that K-Rob wasn't active. All I can say is I was hoping he'd get the ball for every run play. The man was pissed off and running with passion! Good job Mark!!!
