True, I'm usually very optimistic, but if I had to wager a lot of money on this game I'd bet on San Fran.

It reminds me of the Jets game, but San Fran is a much much better team than the Jets. We're coming off of an emotionally high game where everything looked easy. San Fran is coming off a game they feel they should have won where they didn't play all that well. I have zero doubt that we'll get San Fran's A-plus game on both sides of the ball. And I feel we may still be hungover from the beat down we gave Dallas.

This has an ass-kicking written all over it.

But if we do somehow win this one, watch out. Its likely we won't lose another game this season.

I'd bet against you. The Saints know about the history between these two clubs and whatever that drama was a couple of years ago between Payton and Harbaugh regarding practices still resonates with Payton.

So you saying that if the Saints win this, you're confident that they go into Seattle and beat that team?

Absolutely, I'd have no doubt about it. But its just a gut feel and I've been wrong before.

Re: From the enemy camp

I think this is going to be an ugly game all around. We have real problems with teams who sport anything above an average quality front 7, and SF does. Counter to that, we also have a real problem with teams whose offensive line knows how to run block, and SF does. We do not win games when trench warfare determines the battles. Even without any 'hangover' this will be a struggle.

Re: From the enemy camp

I may be VERY wrong, but something tells me the o-line and running game got a much needed confidence boost against Dallas. That doesn't mean that we get 150 or 200 against the 49ers, but I think we get around 100 - just enough to keep them off guard.

And most importantly, we have something we did not in the 2011 playoffs and 2012 game - a SOLID defense.

We are right there with the 49ers in terms of scoring D.

In both of those games Drew played terrible. 2 int vs Rams and 4 int vs browns.
Maybe we overlooked those 2 teams but no way in hell can you overlook the ninety farters.
