Throw in a quarterback coming off a sub-100 yard performance and things become clear.

An angry Niners team will be tough to beat. We better not rest on our laurels and think that beating Dallas was a greater achievement than it actually was.

Krapernick looked absolutely turrible against Carolina.
Good news for us is when he starts playing like krap, he goes on streaks like that for games on end. He was awful for the first 3 games or so, sounds like he has fallen back to reality (that's he's not that good).

If we had to go to their place I'd be worried. At home I think we've got em. Don't think it will be easy but I fully expect a win.

Not a good looking trend. I was at that Cleveland game. Fujita sniffed us out. Ok enough about that. I want curb stomping payback this week and ill be driving down to witness it. That '11 playoff game still burns.

Have to contain Kaeperpunk. He can still run for 200+ yards if he plays as bad as he did last weekend.

I hate these games where we face a team coming off a loss.

Sound familiar?

Yeah thats NE and NY Jets. San Fran just had to lose to Carolina which makes them a ***** to beat now even in the dome.

We owe these pukes - for last season, the 2011 playoffs and 40+ years of abuse.

Time to take it out of their hides...

no one underestimates the 49ers. We have bad blood with them as well. I don't see a let down game here.

Turn that coin over; would LOSING to Dallas have been a greater failure?

True, I'm usually very optimistic, but if I had to wager a lot of money on this game I'd bet on San Fran.

It reminds me of the Jets game, but San Fran is a much much better team than the Jets. We're coming off of an emotionally high game where everything looked easy. San Fran is coming off a game they feel they should have won where they didn't play all that well. I have zero doubt that we'll get San Fran's A-plus game on both sides of the ball. And I feel we may still be hungover from the beat down we gave Dallas.

This has an ass-kicking written all over it.

But if we do somehow win this one, watch out. Its likely we won't lose another game this season.

I'd bet against you. The Saints know about the history between these two clubs and whatever that drama was a couple of years ago between Payton and Harbaugh regarding practices still resonates with Payton.

So you saying that if the Saints win this, you're confident that they go into Seattle and beat that team?

Absolutely, I'd have no doubt about it. But its just a gut feel and I've been wrong before.

Re: From the enemy camp

I think this is going to be an ugly game all around. We have real problems with teams who sport anything above an average quality front 7, and SF does. Counter to that, we also have a real problem with teams whose offensive line knows how to run block, and SF does. We do not win games when trench warfare determines the battles. Even without any 'hangover' this will be a struggle.

arsaint 11-13-2013 12:05 PM

Re: From the enemy camp

I may be VERY wrong, but something tells me the o-line and running game got a much needed confidence boost against Dallas. That doesn't mean that we get 150 or 200 against the 49ers, but I think we get around 100 - just enough to keep them off guard.

And most importantly, we have something we did not in the 2011 playoffs and 2012 game - a SOLID defense.

We are right there with the 49ers in terms of scoring D.

In both of those games Drew played terrible. 2 int vs Rams and 4 int vs browns.
Maybe we overlooked those 2 teams but no way in hell can you overlook the ninety farters.

We have no enemies... Only those that have been conquered and those waiting to be conquered.

It isn't personal.

Guess I'm different - SF will ALWAYS be my enemy.

If the NFL collapsed into a 2 team league of the Falcons and 49ers, I'd hope the Falcons won 63-0 every week.

Yep, the 49ers are still on the top of my list too.

Celtics
Yankees
