Anyone - stats on 40 burger hangovers??

Just curious, does anyone have some stats about our play, at home, or streaks AFTER a 40+ win like Dallas last week?

I can remember some let downs, but mainly coming off big home wins and then going away and practically mailing it in.

In 2011 we destroyed the Colts and dropped a 60 burger. We turned around the next week and mailed it in, and I mean not even 3rd class mail, against the Rams and I thought the team hit their low following the Superbowl.

That loss propelled the team to a win streak that put us deep into the playoffs, and the rest was history of course.

Hoping the Jets loss was the "low" and Dallas was the launchpad. Anyone with some stats would be appreciated. :bng:

Ill dig up what I can on 40 burger hangovers.

2013 - Beat Dolphins 38-17 Then beat Chicago in Chicago the following week
2012 - Beat the Bucs 41-0 then Beat Dallas in OT in Dallas
2011 - Beat the Colts 62-7 Lost to the Rams in St. Luis the following week
2011 - Beat the Giants 49-24 then beat the Lions 31-17
2011 - Beat the Vkings 42-10 then went on a rampage following weeks (45-16 beat Falcons), (45-17 beat Panthers), (45-28 beat Lions *Playoffs)
2010 - No 40 point games
2009 - 4 games over 45 points and won all games following.
2008 - Beat packers 51-29 then went to Tampa bay and lost to the Bucs 20-23
I would say 2008 and older are not relevant

2 losses after heavy meals.

I know in the final 3 games of 2011, we scored 3 40 burgers in a row

I don't think we have a hangover against the Whiners. Which isn't to say we are a lock to win, but I think we show up for sure.

no way do we take them lightly, as we did in the Clev and StL losses
I think everyone still remembers the last meeting...

I have to agree with that. They playoff loss still stings Sean Payton, especially since that was his last game he coached until Preseason of this year.

The 2011 win over the Colts is embedded in my mind with the loss the next week to the Rams. I felt we hit a low point as an organization post SB XLIV. The response was dramatic as we tore a new a-hole through the NFL.

We could not mount a rival-esque response to the 49ers last year at home as we were crippled with WHOEVER we had coaching at the time, and a defense that was porous like a sieve.

After out history with the 49ers both recent and decades ago... Taking them lightly shouldn't even be a talking point.

and S.F. definitely laid an egg against the panthers in their own house. They need a win bad now. Glad we are at home.
