Rackers banged out 86.8% his last two years in Houston and he has only missed 2 games in his last 6 years.
Neil Rackers NFL Football Statistics - Pro-Football-Reference.com

Rackers is 100 and 90 % on turf his last two years.
Neil Rackers: Situational Stats at NFL.com

Hartleys best season was 81.8 and has only had 1 complete season in his career.
Garrett Hartley NFL Football Statistics - Pro-Football-Reference.com

On Turf
Hartley is 81%, 64%, 77%, 80%

Hartley's accuracy is one thing, having to carry a second FG kicker for 4 of his 5 seasons is yet another.

There is no comparison of the two. All that is left is to see how he does in tryouts to know if he still has it.
Only thing I want to point out is look at a kickers stats from year to year and look at all the peaks and valleys. There are very few that stay consistent. Take Rackers for example, he's had years of being only 57% or 60% to having a year of 94%. Kickers are a strange breed.

@LarryHolder: Garrett Hartley said bringing other kickers had nothing to do with lighting a fire or throwing gasoline. Said its what Saints needed to do

Seems to read as pretty much what I've been saying.

Up by 20 Shankly!
Down by 14 and his life on the line, 3 points.

He can't focus unless something is on the line.

60 yards and he is good
36 yards and he can't hit a barn with a base fiddle

Saints worked out 5 kickers. sticking with Hartley for now, but if make change later would likely sign Shayne Graham or Derek Dimke
