VD + Gore vs Harp + Malcolm
 

This matchup has been a bad deal for is in recent years. We take away the run then VD gets open, we take away VD and then Gore gashes us. All we have to do is contain both since the niners WR corps sucks balls.

I really wish Vaccarro was in this game because I think the 3 safety set with him Harper and MJ would be good in containing VD. Then it's up our LB to stop the run.

Before the B&G Crew comes down on me for bashing Harper I just want to say that you have to consider that Harper has been absolutely lit up by Davis in the past.

I think our offense is as good and healthy as the one that almost beat the niners in the playoffs a few years back so I am not as concerned about that. Still they are very tough to move chains on - I think mainly because we never seem to get our screen game working against them. They seem to be nasty in the flats.

This isn't the same VD as in years past. We have the penicillin now.

My guess is that Vernon Davis is used to block more than receiving since that is what SF has been doing with him this season against strong defenses.

We are going to keep pressure on Kap, forcing the run and they simply will not be able to keep up in scoring.

And it was Malcolm Jenkins that Davis lit up all game (2011), not Harper.

Colin is going to be the wild card... The rest we can handle. Once we get 14 up he will be forced to throw and its duck season.

Davis lit us up cause he was the only target Alex Smith passed to. Ryan can scheme to stop Gore and force Kaepernick to try and win it with his arm.
