Reading these posts and I finally come across my issue with this hit.

The G force on his neck / cervical spine caused me to stop and pray.
Drew's brain sloshed back and forth in that hit.
This hit was dangerous and potentially paralyzing.

breesfan, next time you have the urge to fly to a game to protect a player, call me because I have your back and I will join you.

Something to take note of in the replay: he throws his arm AT Drew's neck/shoulder area first. Meaning, he was throwing it like he intended to hit whatever he could as hard as he could, outcome be damned.

Man, I've got no love loss for those cheap azz, dirty bastards. Or their coach.

Would he have been as cavalier in his attitude if Drew's neck would have been broken?
or spinal cord impinged?

He is not a leader.
A leader would recognize the severity of the actions on Brees.

Dafuq? No, I don't know what you mean. He was barely moving, let alone "going full speed", and he seems to be standing fairly tall, relatively speaking.

This is a close play that could be called either way, but don't just make s#!t up afterwards.

F you Ahmad Brooks.

F you....

Re: The Hit on Brees

If you watch it in slow motion, it's clearly a clothesline AND he could have easily just pulled him down or hit him square in the ribs (and broke them if he wanted to) and it would have been legal. But no, he throws a clothesline forearm to his head.

Watch this in slow motion and take a different prespective from this angle and speed:
