Thats interesting. I'm debating with myself if I agree with you or not. Its currently 50-50.

Why credit someone with the sack if their play resulted in a 1st down?

I still cant believe THIS is the hit some folks are up in arms about being called. I mean, it couldn't have been more brazenly obviously against the rules.

The folks talking smack about Brees because of this really get on my nerves, but I guess haters gonna hate and whiners gonna whine.

Funny thing about bruschi is that he played with a guy who basically changed the rules on how to hit a QB back in 2007, if I'm not mistaken the rules drastically changed then. Of course I'm talking about Brady.

Well the problem is obvious.

There are far too many "analysts" on tv.
I'd keep Chris Berman, and fire all the rest.

If they dont have any football or highlighst to show, then just sign off for a while. I dont need analysis.

As I said in another thread I can't believe the way people are reacting to this. It's not like some of the calls we see where a defenders hand grazes the qbs' helmet and he's flagged for 15. Brooks dang near took Brees' head off. It looks just as bad in regular speed as it does in slomo. I'm usually with the defender on these but I would be ok with the call even if the tables were turned and it's against us.

Makes you wonder what these analysts would do for a living instead of spewing bladerring jibberish like they do.

I can not believe ESPN would continue to employ stupid ex-football players that have had their brains so rattled that they would say something like that about Brees. He did not get up and start complaining about the illegal hit. All he did was get up, get back in the huddle, and play the game. The flag was thrown a long time before Brees even got up off the ground. To say he is not tough enough for some ESPN morons is so stupid. How many ges has Brees missed since coming to the Saints? He has played in more games in the last 6 years than these morons at ESPN even remember playing in their whole life. ESPN needs to hire people that will give the fans an unbias opinion of the game.

What would Bruschi had said if it was Tom Brady? He'd support Tom. He's a homer and a dumbass. I can't stand him. Never liked him as an "analyst" either.

And Lewis? The most show boating LB to ever play. He literally acts like the Keyshawn Johnson of LBs.

Oh yeah....and he's a murderer.

But thats a pretty interesting take.

If someone commits PI in the endzone, why isn't the receiver credited with a TD?
That's why I've always been at odds with holding in the endzone being called a safety. If that's the case then touchdowns SHOULD be awarded for interference in the endzone.

I really don't want penalties to result in automatic points, but it's the inconsistency in the rules that just make no sense.

yeah, like when you can "break the plane" over the goal line. But you have to actually step on the out of bounds to be out of bounds,
if you catch the ball with your feet inbounds and the ball out of bounds its in
bounds. Why dont you break the plane of out of bounds? And why cant you
just step your foot into the goalline? like its "base?"
