What will Benson do?
 

Well with Bensons great history of great choices I'd lilke to know what you think will happen.

1)Benson keeps Has and fires Rick the D**k as Def Cord?
2)Benson brings back Dikta to boost ticket sales next year.
3)Benson makes Rick the Head Coach because us fans just don't know
4)Benson names himself head coach saving the coaches salary
5)Benson takes his ball and team somewhere else to play
6)Benson does the right thing and hires Muller back and gives him full control?

I think Haslett\'s days in NO are numbered, but I\'m not so sure Rick Venturi is going anywhere. That\'s the part that makes me want to vomit. He\'s always been this bad as a coach and he\'s been with the Saints forever. :casstet:

If we had a better owner, he\'d have been gone years ago. In fact, he wouldn\'t have been re-hired in the first place.

Here\'s my opinion...
No. Note that Venturi is the only holdover from the last regime change.
Not even Benson is that stupid. But he may consider another veteran coach.
Don\'t torture me!

Could he do a worse job than Haslett et al?

Not as long as the state keeps forking over the $15 mil every year and keeps blowing sunshine up his butt about a new stadium.

Nope. Too much ego for that.

What I\'d like to see happen is Benson retire and turn the franchise over to his granddaughter, who by all reports has a good head on her shoulders. She could then make the right decisions.

1. Fire Haslett. Now.

2. Demote Loomis. Now.

3. Get Mueller back and give him full control again.

4. Either get Romeo Crennel now (if possible), or get a proven veteran head coach in right now for an extended tryout.

But it\'s wishful thinking. Maybe the sellout streak being broken will spur Benson to do something.

What will Benson do?
 

I am pretty certain Rick Venturi has some polaroids of Mr. Benson in some very unflattering positions and has used these to hold on to a position screwing up whatever part of the Saints he touches. I am also pretty sure Haslett has one of those bets like Wilbur and Mortimer in trading places where he has one dollar on the line he can draft a d-lineman every year he is head coach with his first pick and never get fired. He is winning so far.
