Im not going to say that they are going to make the playoffs, but they are only one game out of the last playoff spot as of right now. I think there are a lot of bad teams in the league right now and 8-8 might get you in.

8-8 is a far off land, my friends.

The Saints offense is playing too inconsistently to hold up for our defense. If we have any fleeting chance of making 8-8, the defense must make a massive turnaround.

CAN WE CATCH A BALL!!!!!!!!!!.(Joe Horn excluded).......We will make the playoffs if we can turn around our horrible linbacker situation(needed Tekeo Spikes) and our \"dropsies\" receivers......I think we will go 9 and 7......(good enough).............

until venturi is gone..our defense will be subpar...he\'s proven it for years now...i don\'t know why he is so highly regarded...we have young , fast players...the very thing he wanted to make his schemes work...his schemes couldn\'t work if we had a team of superheroes...much less the underacheiving d we have now...i don\'t know why they play like that..but 30+ points a game is sickening we are going to be the new bangels...if we don\'t get some real help

I agree with Chaching on this one.

Could someone please tell me why our WRs have such a horrible case of the dropsies! They\'ve got... like... toaster hands out there!

Here is a partial diagnosis: Brooks is throwing the ball too hard. Some WRs had the same problem with Elway back in the day. However, adjustments can be made for that AND that only applies to the short inside routes.

What is the rest of the problem though? Horn doesn\'t seem to be having too much trouble. Why don\'t the youngsters mirror his technique? I heard that Stallworth has a rib injury that might explain his inability to extend or desire to catch the ball with his arms too far out, but what the heck?

Here is hoping that Henderson has developed some hands. Seems unlikely, since that was the BIG knock against him, but we can always hope...

JKool,

I think Brooks does throw the ball too hard, but when you know this receivers should adjust. Do they know who Brett Favre is? He about tattoos every receiver Green Bay has ever had but you never heard of them having drop problems after the first year cause they adjust, plain and simple. Our receivers are choosing not to adjust to Brooks\' style for some reason, and Brooks\' has yet to learn the meaning of \"touch pass.\" I think the drops are a combo of both. I think this comes down to the receivers and Brooks not taking the time to develop a consistent style ala Manning with his receivers and James in Indy or McNabb when they got TO. They worked out together all summer. There is no reason after 3-4 years of being together that this team has no done this.
