Two straight seasons. Two December melt downs. Last year the excuse was bad attitudes on the team. Those persons supposedly were removed.

This year, minus those "bad apples", the team collapses again. Now who's to blame? Yeah, I know it takes front office, personnel, etc. However, there is something SERIOUSLY wrong in the locker room, and that begins and ends with the head coach.

I think some serious questions have to be answered about Haslett's ability to lead this team. I personally have serious doubts at this point if he is the right man for the job. Next year will be critical for him and his tenure with the Saints.

Also, in spite of the contract, is Aaron Brooks the QB to lead this team to the next level? Certainly, everthing regarding the offense isn't his fault. However, I'm not getting a "warm fuzzy" concerning his leadership ability. But, this also indirectly points back to the coaching.

One thing I can say about all of this, is I really would have liked to see Jake given a shot. Christmas eve, a few years ago, against dallas, showed us what a relaxed Jake is capable of. Why continue playing a hurt man, when you have a weapon like Jake sitting on the sidelines??
