10-3 [We could win out :) ]

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'd put my money on the Saints offense at home any day of the week. Crushed them in another offense clinic....

Great bounceback win tonight against a defense who is arguably every bit as good as Seattle's. Of course we play well at home, but I don't think the Panthers played that good of a game. It will certainly be much closer 2 weeks from now imo. Carolina isn't THIS bad, guys.

We got away from the run tonight, it seems like we ran it less than 10 times all night.. Brees was a robot though, so the run wasn't really needed. Even still, regardless of how good Brees is, I do not like when we escape the run. I want balance.

Junior Galette had a great game. He now has 9 sacks on the season, and still not a lot of people know his name. Galette is certainly one of the most underrated LBers in the league.

Speaking of Brees though.. Congratulations for being the fastest QB to ever reach 50k yards. Well deserved.

Defense also rebounded tonight. Keenan Lewis was lockdown all night on Steve Smith, so was my boy Corey White on Brandon Lafell. Vaccaro was also really impressive, once again. I really believe Vaccaro will be an all-pro safety here in a couple years. He's already the best safety on the team imo, and that includes Malcolm Jenkins and Roman Harper who have both been pro-bowl or all-pro safeties at least once in their careers.
The WRs couldn't get free, and the front seven harrassed Cam all night. Very rarely was there a clean pocket for him.

Next week, we go on the road to St Louis. They have a very physical defensive front just like NYJ and Seattle, so it could be an interesting game.

I can't wait to hear all these idiot talking heads try and spin this one after riding Newton's nuts these past 2 months.

HEADLINE: RIVERBOAT RON SUNK AT THE MOUTH OF THE MISSISSIPPI (Panthers, Riverboat Ron SUNK at the mouth of the Mississippi)

EDIT: I actually made this into a headline and thread from our site and posted here (Panthers, Riverboat Ron SUNK at the mouth of the Mississippi). YES, sue me, I was dying for some fun after a brutal loss against the Seahawks and capitalized on the moment to "SHOWBOAT" a little. HA HA HA. Love you guys and gals!!!!!

The Panthers are far from weak. Until tonight they had the best defense in the NFL, a mobile qb who is tough for anyone to bring down and some pretty good special teams. They were hot. Red hot and IMO were a better team than Seattle with the way they were playing. The Panthers are a good football team, definitely top 4-5 in the NFLer and are legit super bowl contenders. Credit our Offense and Defense for taking care of business. We beat a damn good football team today. Handily.

That's why I TRULY feel (not smack talk) that when we play like we played tonight, we are COMPLETELY unstoppable in the NFL. END OF STORY! We cannot be beat.

Folks can speculate on who shows up each week, but we destroyed this team. Wasn't even close. Nuff said. I really believe this.

They'll look completely different two weeks from now. And IDC what the stats say, Seattle and San Francisco both have better defenses then Carolina and that piss poor secondary. Seattle and San Fran are great at all 3 levels, while Carolina is great at two. But let's stay grounded, because they're going to go balls to wall in Charlotte.

I'm just praying Seattle will drop two more games and we win out.
