Does this strike anybody else as incredibly whiny and self-centered?

I mean, it's the punter. He's not used to tackling people. Don't get me wrong it was a dangerous play and it's only lucky Ginn didn't wind up with a for real neck injury. But you're seriously arguing that the punter should be ejected?

Between this guy, Harbaugh, Mike Smith and a few others, there is a really whiny/obnoxious bunch of head coaches in the NFL these days. I'm glad Sean Payton does not subscribe to their newsletter. During the Haslett years there was nothing more annoying than watching him gripe and curse out the officials when he should've been paying attention to the game. It sets a bad example for a team to make excuses for losing when they need to be facing whatever challenge is in their way.

And when has this ever happened for a facemask? Historically it would make 0 sense. From a panzi crying coach though it make 100% sense.

It's a pretty well established and proven axiom in the NFL, that if you complain and gripe and argue with the refs too much about small stuff early in the game, then later on in the game when more important stuff happens, and you try and argue your case to them, they get all like TALK TO THE HAND and ain't hearing it. I've seen many a player or coach get the stonewall treatment from the refs on a judgement call, when the coach or player started out the game very argumentative or combative.

Was Rivera an assistant under either of the Harbaugh's?
