Re: 2014 NFL Draft

boy as usual i whiffed with the saints.

rounds 1 and 2 i can see and accept. Toy for SP but the price was steep. I hope Stanely reaches 75% of upside.

in the gods we must trust the saints did not need a OC. because if we do Drew at risk do to SP play toy

then not to go seriously after one after the draft? we better sign a vet IMO

one day this risk taking will blow up in the saints face, last year was to close for my liking.

Round 5/169 -- Ronald Powell, OLB, 6-3, 237, Florida
--Powell returned to the field in 2013 after two anterior cruciate ligament surgeries in 2012. He is valued for his pass-rush abilities and measurables."

considering Tyler Larsen went undrafted that would appear the better pick despite the risks

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Well, I really didn't see Khairi Fortt, OLB, California; Height: 6’ 2”; Weight 242 lbs. past the middle of the third round - crazy, deep draft probably overwhelmed many GMs with options...

Really believe fans here are gonna like this guy, and when he gets his opportunity to shine, plus salary cap ramifications for the ILBers Lofton and Hawthorne next season, don't be surprised to find this guy a starter...

Powell's big question mark is the knee, same as Victor Butler; similar players but Powell has the higher ceiling if he can get those medical issues way behind him...

Disagree with Saints regarding OL value in the draft in the fifth and taking Sunseri - Superbowl contender or not, you don't draft players for special teams unless it's the sixth/seventh round and there an exception kicker, punter, or return bloke...

Damn, we should have use that fifth round pick on Sunseri on an Interior lineman such as Zach Fulton or the NT McCullers out of Tennessee...

Wow, Steelers stole Martavis Bryant - know we've stole our share, but looking forward to watching how that pans out...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Best thing that ever happened to the draft process was the salary slot assignment of a rookie draft pool...

How many careers would not have been derailed, delayed by player/agent greed had this CBA section been added years ago?!?

We've got our second, both fifth, and sixth round selections under contract; so we're still waiting for the first and fourth to sign...

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

plus now you can sit a first rounder and not break the bank. that is why if the saints did draft a QB it was cool with me
