Confidence in Haslett?

OK. let's put emotions aside for a minute. A team normally goes as far as its QB goes. Brooks had not produced in more than a month. Hurt or whatever, he had not produced. Now comes the final game, the last chance, a last gasp opportunity to make the playoffs. Haslett had stuck with Brooks and given him all the chances he needed to prove to the fans why he got such a big contract. But after three quarters of putting his faith in Brooks, Haslett should have put his faith in his team ... and on that team was another QB. No, I'm not a big Jake fan, just a realist. Brooks was not going to make it happen. Jake may not have either. But we'll never know. Haslett cheated Saints fans and the remainder of the Saints team by not trying someone else. Until this stretch run of losses, I was a huge Haslett fan. Now? Well, I had better sign off before I lose my objectivety.

Confidence in Haslett?

Very little confidence in Haslett anymore.
Reasons why:
Playing a hurt questionable NFL QB (Brooks) instead of giving one of the best backups in the league (a starter for many teams according to Haslett).
Going for two early in games far too many times.
Not resting Deuce to let his ankle heel - sacrifice a game if necessary.
Using 3 fat guys on the D-line/ one is fine to stop the run, but two can\'t get a pass rush.
Going for too many field goals instead of TDs (a la Jim Mora).
Not using his 2 timeouts at the end of the Minn. game when the Vikings were driving & bound to score - 2 TOs would have given Saints at least one minute to score.
I could go on, but I want to stop thinking about the 2002 season - probably the biggest dissapointment in 30+ years of disappointment.
Time for Haslett to go - please take Brooks with you!
