New Orleans Saints need to get out of the gate quicker
 

The New Orleans Saints are the best frontrunners in the NFL. No team plays better with a lead. When the Saints score early and mount an advantage, it enhances their already formidable strengths. They become emboldened, like a gambler with house money, and everything in their arsenal becomes more dangerous. Blowouts often commence.

The Saints' model for success is built on this formula. When the Saints build a lead, opponents are forced to pass more often while trying to catch-up. This plays right into the strength of the Saints' attacking, undersized defense. It also limits the exposure of their shaky run defense.

Conversely, playing from ahead alleviates the pressure on the Saints' inconsistent pass protection because it allows them to run the ball more often.

I'd love to see us in our 2-minute offense to start the game.

It negates crowd noise.
We use plays that we execute well.
Creates a frantic pace at the outset.
It should give us more possessions.

they should have started the 2nd half last week that way...i was very disappointed they did not.

it would have certainly been to our advantage to try and slow that pass rush down.

The Saints do need to get off to a quick start , but this fan thinks that protecting the ball is a more important part of the Saints winning. No interceptions, no fumbles and no blocked punts or field goal attempts. If the Saints can hold on to the ball and have no turnovers then I have no doubt that these can win this big game. No doubt !!!

I would love for us to run the ball down their throat to wear out their D and open up the pass. To me Brees has not looked so good under pressure the entire season and has not only taken hit after hit but has made bad decisions throwing under pressure. We could game-manage and keep things alot more honest. We need a run game bad. If our O-line can't give us one we need to draft ones that will.

I for one have been wanting us to run no huddle far more often...like the first 3 drives, or until the opponent can slow it down.

I'm extremely worried about this game Sunday...but I just can't see us losing. Sean Payton won't let us go out like that.
