If Seattle beats Arizona and eliminates them from contention what will SF do?
 

Its possible SF could lose out or maybe not care about the falcons game so they can rest some of their players. they have tanked before to get ready for a more important game and they could do it again. I think Arizona is probably more important for them as far as momentum is concerned(which many teams are blindly buying into) to have an edge going into the playoffs. And honestly if we lose Sunday I would love if Atlanta won against SF to keep us from going to Chicago(or Green Bay).

What did they do last year? Surely one of the two or three years they've been monstrously good, SF has shown their hand whether they tend to rest players or play full bore.

I don't remember the end of 2011 anymore. That game at the Stick somehow obliterated and wiped the whole postseason from my consciousness.

I also don't know if Atlanta could win if they tried.

why would they rest anyone? They still want the 5, not 6 seed
The Falcons have been competitive for 5 weeks- not the type of team you want to be playing right now

Sf hasnt beaten Atlanta since before the re-alignment in the reg season. I know SF is different now but this is the kind of game Atlanta could win.

It took 5 fumbles and 2 interceptions for Atlanta to eek out a 1 point victory over the 3-10 Redskins on the the Georgia Dome. (some of you know it as Payton's Place)

It'll take just short of a miracle, for falcons to beat the 49ers on the road. But I guess stranger things have happened.

I'd rather not have to worry about which team wins or looses. I just want us to win on Sunday so it would not matter.

If we win tomorrow we are guaranteed the #2 seed, if we lose and the Cardinals also lose we clinch a playoff spot :saintsfan:
