Hopefully, the NFL won\'t catch on to all this wisdom and start hiring people from this forum left and right to fill the offensive coordinator positions that open up after the season, otherwise, who would we have to talk to?

Not to toot my own horn BNB, but the \"run toward the endzone as fast as you can\" play for Devery Henderson was my idea i\'m not too proud to admit. Can\'t be any worse than McCarthy since he hasn\'t thought of it yet.

what happens if they line up devery and he misses his assignment..and brooks gets sacked and injured?...thats why they don\'t let him in..but..he should at least be returning some kicks and punts..test his toughness out...get him used to the speed of the pro game...

Shadowdrinker, you\'re right. Why isn\'t he at least returning kicks?? Really. If he can\'t do that yet, what the hell can he do??

Also, we are regularly in 3rd and 38 situations, why not bring him in, line him up wide, so he has no blocking assignments, and let him take a DB with him? Oh yeah! I forgot, our OL sucks, and we can\'t afford to not have 8 people blocking so AB can have 2 seconds to throw the ball. Nevermind...

St. Shrume, this is specifically why I said it would only be 5-10 plays. And since when did Devery become a 350 lb O-lineman? In what situation would a wide receiver lined up outside miss an assignment and get the qb sacked? Has this ever happened in the history of the NFL? If Devery was in, the play would be for him to go deep, hence no blocking assignment. And if a cb blitzes, doesn\'t a receiver run a hot route? I am sure Devery can do even this. He did it at LSU.
