Brooks will have a killer game

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; come Sunday. SD is pretty stout against the run, but can definitely be passed on. Hopefully Aaron will be airing it out, with Horn running underneath his bombs. May be a shootout, seeing as how Brees is looking very Fouts-like ...

Predicting 300+ with 3TDs 1pick

I\'ll take no picks thank you very much, since we are dreaming and all. lol Let\'s hope it does happen though. I am all for a playoff run as long as we look like we mean it, not win all our Nov. games to fold in Dec. again.

May be a shootout...

Welcome to every game this season, other than that one in the dessert where we got blown out. May be? Will be - here on out. You won\'t see this team holding an opponent under 20 this year - at least, I seriously doubt it.

Why does many here, and other Saints fan like my brother, think that it\'s absolutely so important for the Saints offense to pound the ball with Deuce? That 60\'s Packer\'s kind of thinking just drives me crazy. McCarthy\'s playcalling, personell groupings, and tendencies are as predictable as water flowing downhill: Deuce in the power I for 1st and 2nd down, then Brooks trying to make the first down from middle to long yardage on third down. Concepts like play action, screens, draws, counters, running out of the shotgun, dumping the ball to Deuce and Karney, and the like seem to be foreign to the Saints\' offense. And frankly I don\'t understand it.

The Saints\' offense plays best in their two minute grouping when playing from behind. Brooks in the shotgun, Deuce off the field or moving in space, 3 wides spread out. I can\'t for the life of me figure out why this isn\'t the offenses base formation played nearly every down.

I\'m fine with power rushing when it\'s successful. But for the Saints it hasn\'t been. Between that and all the presnap penalties (Thanks to Riley, Conwell, and others on the offensive line) the offense is in a deep hole sometime during every drive.

McCarthy should gameplan a game where he never (ever) rushes the ball on 1st down. Line up in the Power I formation. Show the look. Never rush Deuce. Show that look for a whole half. Then in the second half, give Deuce the ball a third of the time. Watch a confused defense give up huge tracks of yardage as they cannot key on personell and formation anymore.

Just a couple of pennies for the bucket

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.
