PLay action pass

As good as we were running the ball against the eagles I saw little play action pass. allot of empty backfield. why is this? is drew just not good at it?

The Eagles were setup to stop the pass all night long, you can tell the rush kept them on their heels all game. And why play-action when we controlled the game relatively easy with 185 rushing yards

This is the playoffs. If it isn't broken, no need to try and fix it. If it is not needed, no need to give someone tape on it.

When you can run, you do not need to Play-action.

The run sets up the play action tightening the D to make them play a tighter box, works well when the ball is run effectively. I'm not much on the 5 wide or whatever it's called but that telegraphs pass all the way with no protection for Brees at all, he's the Lone Ranger out there or sitting duck whatever you want to call it but if the line holds and no recievers are open downfield it can result in a qb. run for really good yards.

Pierre being out kind of limited the confidence of lining up for that play. They tried it once or twice with Ingram to no avail
