It was a good season

Didn't turn out exactly as we would've hoped . Still we made the playoffs' won a game and erased the nightmare of 2012. They battled through A ton of injuries and had the deck stacked against them. Thy baftled hard every single game and won a lot more thzn they lost. As a fan what more an you ask? Love my Saints now more than ever!

If I remember correctly, most so called experts predicted the Saints to go anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7, there were a few outliers on both ends of the spectrum but the popular thought was around average.

I know I was hoping for a 16-20th ranked defense.

yes , great year - we posted our first road play off victory in franchise history. Looking at the long view - one of the best seasons we have ever had - more ext year.

Yes Very good season look forward to next year knowing we will have an even better defense people keep forgetting that this is our first year with Rob Ryan and I'm a die hard saints fan I do believe in my team but lets be realistic we had a tough playoff schedule so either way it was gonna be hard for us to make to the Superbowl if we would've won on our key games like @ Carolina and @ Rams it would be a different story but we didn't its time tomove on a . Forget and sign a CB that can make plays and help out Keenan Lewis because Corey White is inconsistent ,Safety to help and compliment both K.Vaccaro and M. Jenkins ,a faster OLB Junior Galette is Very good but we need a faster and good at rushing the QB, ROT because thats the real problem on out O-Line and our Offense REALLY REALLY REALLY need to stop being so F -ing predictably get another big body receiver Thats physical like a Aquan Bolden or Larry Fitzgerald to compliment Jimmy Graham. I know P.Thomas is a good RB but so is Ingram and Robinson I say start Ingram first because it takes him a while to get warmed up then give it to Thomas and Robinson. Give Kenny Stills a Bigger role make him be the deep threat like how eagles use dashawn Jackson and Colts T.Y. Hilton we can be solo much better next year so I can't wait.

I thought 11-5 was pretty much the low end of our prospects. We went 7-9 with two guys who had never been head coaches taking turns and idiot for a DC. 2012 was the like the pretend Saints. The last time the real Saints played they were 13-3.

I guess I'm a spoiled saints fan Lol wishing it was as easy as 09 when we got in the tournament. But what sucks most is now I won't have something to look forward to on Saturday/Sunday.

We blew a 5 game lead in our division and let carolina win the NFC south

The start of the season was good, then we started losing to the rams and jets

That's what I said in the chat. We went from a regular on the Football Follies to a regular in the playoffs. You all remember the 3-13 seasons, the endless 8-8s, the time when 1-15 teams had that one win against us. Now look at us. We've gone to the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 years, one of them ending in a Super Bowl Championship. This is a much better team than I saw growing up. I'm excited to see how we move into the future.

Re: It was a good season

I thought the team was good. Sure we lost games. Expected, no? Especially when we had the worst defense the year before. The thing is - it is a profession sport and the opposition is trying to stop you winning. There are no guarantees, there are no gimme wins. Every win has to be earned. And sometimes when you do your level best to earn it, the other team and/or a fantastic play and/or a rule interpretation messes it up.

Every team we lost to, beat someone else. Our defeats were not in our house. But the Jets you say? Do you mean the same Jets that beat New England Patriots? And so it goes on.

And every team moving on through the playoffs got beat by somebody. So there you have it - It is what it is.

Yep, I agree 100% that we did make incorrect decisions and/or executed poorly at times. I don't like that but it is an inevitability when there are over 100 snaps in a game and there are guys trying to force the error.

Bottom line - Geaux Saints. Have a drink with me if you wanna reminisce with a smile and talk of the good times.
