Shields is a fine enough CB, but I'd prefer Alterraun Verner for the physical bump and jam style CB; Shields is an older version of when we signed Jabari Greer...

Sorry, I'll go back to dreaming too.

It's all about Jimmy Graham's contract, future...

I agree Verner is better than Shields, but Verner wouldn't come here to be a #2 CB when he will have offers from other teams to be "the guy" at cornerback in my opinion. Verner also might be too expensive since our cap situation is pretty bad..

Alterraun Verner would be an interesting move

lets see 5'10 and coming of a pro bowl season? 2 strikes lol

Oh no, my brother, don't think of him as a No. 2 - we'll just have two No. 1s whereby we'll have matchup advantages...

realistically, I doubt we'll be able to afford him which makes the Keenan Lewis signing that much more significant...

Saints FO has to find a way to be able to sign at least one significant FA on offense and one on defense each season...

These hamstrung, roll the debt forward efforts are going to run the team off the cliff...

My bet is either Moore, PT, Ingram or Sproles. And it may be more than one of them, and it may be this year.

Ya'll have both hit it on the head...it will be an offseason of heartache...definitely a long cold winter...

And I don't see Strief or DLP coming back as free agency starts...
