Definitely need a tackle; not hating, in fact I like that big lovable lug Strief, great guy, but he's sooo sloooow turning, recognizing his blocks on the screens, and bubble routes that the defensive linemen and linebackers are running past him before he turns and blows up our running backs and/or tight ends...

He's not the only one, Grubbs and Strief need to be examined and assessed; Grubbs cap number is especially harmful...

Last 18 games were enough examination and assessment for me. You want to draft and hang on... Where are we cutting depth for all these extra offensive linemen?

I think a Pro Bowl Center would put us there. Also a WR like Fitzgerald or Bolden.

As we struggle to figure out how to pay for Graham I must ask.... How on earth would you pay for all of that?

Exactly! Everybody (ok not everybody) wanted Bushrod gone, before that they wanted Stinchcmb gone, now it's Strief. You'd think Pro-Bowl thises and thats grew on trees and were willing to play for free. Put down the Madden and try to live in the real world. DLP is the only guy that realistically could be replaced affordably. And even he isn't terrible.

I know let's get Brees to play for less than Ryan, Cutler, Flacco, Schaubb, Brady, Manning, Rivers and Rogers. You know that every FA pro-bowler is just dieing to come play for us on the cheap.

I didn't want Stinch gone. He was playing pretty well until he was injured. I actually miss the guy. And if we need to replace Strief the only affordable way would be to draft someone or replace him with someone already on the roster. We really can't afford to bring anyone in.

Re: Terron Armstead

Nothing wrong with Strief. Evans being hurt most of the year was more responsbile for any struggles on the right side of the line than Streif. In fact I would say Strief is as good right now as Stinchcomb was at his peak.

No problem with bringing in somebody to compete with DLP, but I think the starting five on the OL is fine just as it is. Grubbs is vastly overpaid as a good not great player.
