I agree.

Man I missed this whole discussion, I gotta get this in though.... Do we have a resident Steelers fan anywhere.... I wonder if they could tell you about Keenan's second season..... I'll just say he wasn't good. I'm saying that to say development is not a one day deal. He was a situational blitzer when the season started, not for lack of skill, but lack of experience..... You take someone who's used to covering a teams third or fourth option and give him a teams first or second option, yes he looks bad.... All his errors are coachable....#patience

Look at the way keenan plays CB, when trying to locate the ball he has one hand on the wide receivers waist or back so he can stay step for step with them whilst looking for the ball

That way it stays inside the rules because its not PI and the WR doesnt burn him

You guys like the kid that's fine but I don't I see him playing catch up all the time, back turned never looking for the ball, guys blowing past him.

Show me some Proof that he his a good corner

I can't show you proof he's a good corner. How about proof he's improving....... So eagles game... Keenan goes down, we're sure there gonna come back and tie the game because now he's on a #1 deshawn Jackson one of the best in the league. Nick Fowles takes his shot... Corey uses the out of bounds as a defender... And actually gets deshawn out of bounds... The ref didn't make the call but it should have been made, it was excellent coverage even though deshawn made the catch..... He's not Jason David you need time to develop him properly.

Look at Junior Gallette, it has taken him 4 unimpressive years to start but once he had the time under his belt he is a pillar of our defense.

If Ryan Griffin had been told in week 5 " Drew is hurt" your in the drivers seat, he would have preformed as well as Corey White did this season, which is no reason to call for their heads.

Pretty much. He's raw, with a lot of potential.

He might blow up and become a quality starter in this league, and he may flame out and disappear within a year or two.

Personally I've seen enough good play to think he's going to get better.

Oak, the Junior Galette example is perfect. For 3 years some posters ridiculed us for being excited about his potential. Now where is he?

Conversely many of us were also excited about Martez Wilson, but he flamed out pretty fast.

I think Cory White improves, and I'm excited about his future.

I like White at corner but I'd like him even more at S. The thought of pairing Vacarro and White together, makes me feel fuzzy inside. Both are physical, can cover and tackle. If Patrick Robinson can get his game together, we'd possibly be looking at a Lewis/Robinson/Vacarro/White secondary. That's a lot of athleticism and ground they can cover.

I am willing to give him time to develop. He wasn't quite ready to thrown in the fire, but he survived. Can we coach him up? If the answer is yes then he would be at least a number two........if not he can be a good depth player.

But since he was thrown in the fire, he will probably develop quicker than most. There's no substitute for experience. All things considered, he was a pretty good CB this season. I think we will see a big jump in his game next year though. Corey White is my favorite player on the team in terms of potential, except for Vaccaro and maybe Galette.

Have we even ever played him at safety though? I get that is the position he played at Samford, but he's been a CB ever since we drafted him if I remember correctly. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And Corey White definitely isn't broke as a CB.

Besides, Rafael Bush paired with Vaccaro also makes me feel fuzzy inside.
