I would say its time for the Jedi to lead by example. Drew restructures to show the Padiwan how to take one for the team.

I still don't get how Brees, Falco commanded the contracts they did when neither have a League MVP between them...

Supply and demand. You have to have a good quarterback to win nowadays and there aren't 32 good quarterbacks in the league. If you don't pay top dollar, someone else will.

More than Manning, Brady or Rogers?!?

Yeah, that is odd.

I think most people think of Drew in that elite group and they're still in the ballpark, 18.5 -19.2 million vs. 20 million. Maybe they didn't want to come off as greedy as Drew did.

But Flacco and Ryan's contracts show that teams don't want to be one position short of a shot at the Super Bowl. Even if they're not getting "elite", good is better than nothing.

Rogers signed for more than Brees, so did Flacco, and Ryan.

Manning is only 800k less/year and there was a neck issue also.

Manning, Brady and Rogers should be the three highest paid quarterbacks in the league and in that order...

then Brees; amazes me Ryan and Flacco were paid that amount of money...

Based on what criteria?

Re: Jimmy Graham Contract

Criteria I'd start from...

1) League MVP

2) Quarterback Rating (more than one season, sorry Russell)

3) Portfolio (Wins, Losses, Championships, PostSeason)

ok fess up. jimmy is good but he has yet reached the elite statues among players.

elite rise up in the big games and do not disappear. the kid needs to reach that finally level.
