Rob Ryan

There have been reports that he is gathering consideration as a head coach canidate. What would we even begin to do if he left..

I'll bet if we hurry, we could still pick up Spagnuolo.

Wait a year to hire Rex? He wouldn't go anywhere after making the play offs once as a d-coorinator

Re: Rob Ryan

According to espn there have been no reports or anyone looking at Ryan as a head coach

GUILTY!

Re: Rob Ryan

So many coaching vacancies that anyone with success in present or past is a name for potential head coach. With that said, d-coordinator doesn't always equal good coach. He loves NOLA and there will be other offers.

That said, MR BENSON - OPEN UP THE CHECK BOOK AND SIGN ROB FOR AN EXTRA MILLION TO SAY! No cap on coaches salary. He's worth every penny. A bonus and contract restructure may keep him in NOLA for years to come IF he gets past this off-season with so many jobs open.

"Appearing on ESPN's NFL Insiders Monday, Chris Mortensen reported Saints DC Rob Ryan's long hair is considered an impediment to landing a head-coaching job."

As long as Rob doesn't get a haircut, we should be safe from other teams trying to take him.

Re: Rob Ryan

If Jim Calwell can get hired as a head coach after what he did in Baltimore, Rob Ryan could definitely get hired based on what he did in New Orleans.

Want to hang on to Ryan until Oakland stupidly dismisses Dennis Allen...

Re: Rob Ryan

If Ryan stays in New Orleans: Great fanbase, doesn't have to cut his hair, great city, successful team, good players, viewed as savior

If Ryan leaves: More money

I think RR knows whats best for him and is very competitive. You can't be competitive taking over a 4-12 team.

Yeah, Jason Garrett looks like a head coach.....ask JJ how that's workin' out. Mind-numbing myopia.

Ok... Who amongst us never thought he was a good hire and that he could not accomplish anything close to what he was able to do this year?

Re: Rob Ryan

Has a contract. It's only been 1 year.

Euphoria 01-15-2014 10:38 AM

Re: Rob Ryan

You can always get out of the contract as long as the position is for a promotion like to a HC.

I think NO is just the type of town Ryan likes... I don't see him going anywhere.

Re: Rob Ryan

Ryan seems to love everything about this town. I didn't get the chance this year to go down to Ms. Mae's after a home game, but I plan to next year to buy him a drink.

I don't see him leaving anytime soon. He has a great defense that will only get better and he has an excellent offense to help him.

I honestly think we're a few O line away from running the table.
I'm looking forward to next year

Wrong.

1. Can not happen during regular season.

2. Until 1st March Rob Ryan requires approval just to interview.

3. After1st March approval is no longer required.

This includes coordinators seeking head coaching jobs.

I don't want him back. I'd rather have Rob.

I think Rob is enjoying life in The Big Easy! I don't see him leaving unless he gets one of those offers that you just can't refuse.
