Griffin will be the number 2 this year.
There is a reason he was activated from the practise squad.Brees will get a extension next year to lower his $28ml cap hit and drafting a QB now would be a waste as they would need re-signed to a new deal too quickly.You want a player with at least 3 years left on his rookie deal to make the most use of the additional cap space you get.

I am telling you guys to wait one more year before drafting a new quarterback! There is a young man at Mississippi State that has been compared to Scam minus the ego! 6'4" and 240 lbs and a dual threat quarterback that is a very good leader , runner and had a strong arm! A year of teaching from Drew and we have our quarterback for the next 10-15 years. Dak Prescott is the name and winning is his game!!

Just because we sucked a million years ago doesn't mean we will automatically go back to that when Brees leaves. This is the era of low draft salaries and miracle QB's from nowhere and free agents who pick where they want to go. I'm open to anything and everything. I love Brees. Brees' career record on the road against winning teams speaks for itself. Against winning teams he is 7-20 when on the road. He is 1-4 in playoffs on the road. That is what it is.
