We can easily turn the corner. Armstead helped tremendously. Our D is great and nothing really needs to change there. The offense needs to be able to run the ball. In the years our offense was extremely successful we were able to run the ball well (09 11). We are very close to having a great running game again, and I think you could see that at the end of the season. Robinson can be a beast and Ingram started to come on nicely at the end of the season (playoffs included). Moving into 2014 I think we have the makings of a great team again; what really matters is Payton's willingness to give Robinson the ball more and change the playbook a bit (we need some new looks).

We don't need to mold ourselves into another team.

Yeah, yeah, that's it. It was planned all along. That's why Drew ducked, to get the contact to the "head and neck area." Just the way they drew it up. And boy did those niners fall for it.

points of interest. Tampa's D played well but elite is not the word. The Panthers caught lightning in a bottle a few times even a blind squirrel will find a nut. The is a guy who wears #9 who is and has been elite since we acquired his services, Cam Jordan is menacing not just elite yet. I'm not gonna bash DLP too much he just got acustomed to getting his ace KICKED every other play I went to the Jets game and it was ugly he looked like he needed 4 more years in College! Streif is serviceable but he could be upgraded he gets beat by speed rushers almost always, Charles Brown should be ashamed of him self. Maybe Robert Quinn will break him off a lil something for helping him secure a monster payday, Corey White needs to play a bit more before I stop worrying he's got good coverage skills but doesn't play the ball looks like a pat robinson out there always in the back pocket but never really in position to break up the pass, Roman Harper should have been converted to LB years ago! IMO Offense needs to catch up, speed + our reliable players will get us back to a deadly level, The defense needs CB health and a FLUSHING KICKER!!!!!!! This was the worst coached Sean Payton Team I've seen, way too many penalties and we gotta get the return game going to many 70-80 yard drives. Our defense knows how to get off the field we need the Offense needs to put up points so they can get team o's off the field

Where did you hear in the past two season anyone call us elite... Were a good team.... But here's a quick news flash..... There are no Elite teams in the NFC!!!!

LOL... Then it's up to us to make them pay for that... the problem is the tight end is our best player..... This is an issue that can be resolved!!!!

You have heard so many people say this you've started buying into it.... Wake up... A refs call we win in New England... A stop we win in Carolina... and those were just the close ones... you hoist a championship on those two W's......

LOL I can because that's what it is... No evidence supports a 7-9 team with a 4 game improvement being called soft.....

But you started this year with no elite players on Defense... BTW I think #28 Keenan Lewis is another elite player and he's on the squad as well.....

LOL, if the Saints are not an elite team then who is. Not counting the bounty garbage year (which doesn't count for obvious reasons) we are 13-3, 11-5, 13-3, 11-5 since 2009. That's averaging 12 wins a year. We've been to the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years and in that time we are setting QB and offense league records left and right. What exactly is your definition of elite team if it is not the Saints?

Also I think most would agree that Brees and Jahri Evans are also pretty elite players. and generally speaking most around the NFL still call Graham the best tight end in football even despite his recent disappearing act.

The only thing that's really "apparent" here is that a lot of people are spoiled rotten. Did you really think we were going to win the Super Bowl every year? There are about 28 teams in the NFL that would love to trade their last 5 years for our last 5 years.

Truth be told we are only a few moves away , question is does sp have the stones to make em ...

Drew has never had a true #1 receiver

Fix that and get him some real freaking weapons ... On Peyton mannings level ...

Hell if we have to go get jacoby ford , Devin Hester , Ted ginn and Mccluster to get somebody on this team open freaking do it ... The man is getting old we can all tell , balls sail on him , constantly under throwing guys ...

2 our offensive line is atrocious ... Armstead more than held up when Charlie failed us , but I'm tired of watching DLP and Strief get embarrassingly manhandled ... One of these plays they're going to get Brees killed ... And they almost do on at least 3 plays per game ...

And another thing why don't we cut the guys who we can't block ??? That'd buy at least a second rather than letting Quinn barge in a take the deed to our quarterbacks soul ...

Or we can just go into a shell build around our running game and defense ... Brees would be an elite manager for at least 7 more years ...

I don't know I'm still depressed

Never grocery shop when you are hungry, or go to the liquor store when you are drunk.

I'll leave my .02 in my pocket on your previous posts since you are having a rough spell.

I try to not pay attention to it, but its hard not to when you see so many glaring problems that pop up, most of it with the league.

Fantasy Football
Story Lines created by the media
Vegas
Officiating
Roger Goodell
Spygate where evidence was destroyed
Patriots winning 3 SBs following 9-11.

I will admit to something else, I have watched Wrestling as long as I have football, the similarities are there, difference is, players are not jobbing to other players or teams. Although you can make a case for the Atl/Car game in Week 16.

I still never figured out how the NFC sends so many different teams to the SB in the last 15 years (basically all but Dallas, Minny, Wash, and Detroit) all while the AFC only sends about 5 different teams in that time span compared to the NFCs what is it? 10-11 teams?

Perhaps alot of it has to do with NFL and its marketing of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning who has been in the SB 8 of those 15 years.

Everytime Peyton Manning has went into the SB, its an easy team.

2006 - Bears
2009 - Saints (thought this would be easy for Indy) Backfired.
2013 - Seahawks

I guarantee you and I would bet money on it, Denver will blow out Seattle by 20-25+ pts.

Much like Pittsburgh 2 titles the last decade off Arizona and Seattle. Theirs plenty stories behind the Rooneys as it is.

you cant make this **** up either.

There's also this, before this year all the NFC divisions took turn representing the sb and one division's team couldnt go but once every three or four years. Also the AFC has had a three year rotation among the steelers, colts, and patriots before the jets botched that up in 11 and the ravens last year. And FF does play a big role. Part of me believe its fixed another believes luck is involved.
