I agree. Lofton has lost a step and Hawthorne is below average. Would like to see us get Borland from Wisconsin. IMO he's the Kuechly type of linebacker/defensive quarterback we need.

Our defense was 4th overall , that's with our offense doing nothing half the season ( away ) ... Only behind Seattle San Fran and Carolina all have exceptional lb play ... You're telling me we don't have above average production from the lb core ?

wtf? Lofton is only 27, he hasn't 'lost a step' he's just never been that fast.

Everybody is always talking abou fast. Sur eit would be nice to have a guy like Urlacher in his prime but those guys are rare. Has everyone forgotten we basically had a track-team under Haslett but that very few of them guys could play football on an NFL level?

We could at the least bring him into camp, he is a 3-4 guy. If he would be as good as Lofton we could save a lot of money!!

We cannot cut Lofton this year. His deas money is $8ml this year and $5ml next.
