I've said it many times in the last few weeks, the Byrd signing only further proves it. The media and fans know NOTHING about the salary cap. Every year PFT buries the Saints in the offseason for their supposed cap problems, and every time we come up smelling like a rose. How many threads are there here moaning about how we can't afford to sign anybody since last season ended? I've lost count. And we ended up with an elite player. The doubters need to step up and admit they don't know, and they never will. |

Classic comments by coach Mora... but I agree. We don't know. But I do think it is safe to say this was the BIG highlight signing. Outside of the Jimmy Graham contract, I think its bargain basement signings the rest of the way out.
I mentioned this in another thread, but I think Patrick Robinson will be our starting corner back this season with Corey White in the nickle. If Loomis and Payton felt they needed to address the second corner spot that would have. I think this also means Lelito and Harris will be starters, unless they can get a few vets to take team friendly deals. |

I admit, I had my questions. I will never doubt Loomis and Payton ever again. Even Falcon fans are admitting it, Loomis is magic, he is a top tier GM and will go down as one of, if not the best GM in NFL history. Book it!
