Please find me a trade in the past 15 years or so where a team moved from the bottom of the first to the top by swapping picks with a team and throwing in a 6th rounder.....

Re: Darren Sproles Traded to Eagles

To move up into the top 10 it would take far more than a 1st and 6th

Similar trade was Atlanta trading down for Julio Jones it cost them
Atlanta's 1st(26th pick),2nd round,4th round,1st round 2012 and 4th 2012 to move up to 6th

Re: Darren Sproles Traded to Eagles

whew man a lot of post revolving around this trade. so here's my opinion at first glance i'm like nooo dont do it!!!! sprolles is like one of our better players i felt that offensively last year (in the latter part of the season) our entire offense was suspect jimmy graham allowing smaller (seattle) defenders "d" him up, drew couldnt get pass protection (or just holding the ball to darn long), no rush blocking, no screen blocking etc etc so to me offensively they all looked washed up (especially our o-l), but after reading some very intelligent blogs by "all of you" i'm starting to feel better about the trade of d sprolles however, unlike most of you i'm glad he went to philly because they play the cowgirls twice a year and i just cant stand those cowgirls so to have an ex- saint player take it to them will be a treat! now for the salary cap move we have to wait and see what that does for us in the draft. moving to 5th does gives us leverage but what are we shooting for in the 1st round 5th overall pick of this years' draft? are we shooting for an offensive lineman? are we going defensice lineman? more help in the secondary? maybe just maybe a QUARTERBACK #hmmmm?

but they don't have loomis!

a better draft position in the 1st round won't be the worst thing in the world. we have to level up the o-line now.

Somehow I think you have confused 5th round pick with 5th overall pick?

Best of luck to Sproles. He'll always be one of my personal favorites.

Sproles and Foles ... sounds like a hipster cartoon show.

I'm surprised at this trade. But, I don't have enough inside info to have an opinion.

Good move Mickey. I thought Sproles would command a solid 4th I can definately be alright with a 5th. With that pick we might be able to get a power back.
