Once we finish re-signing/signing and drafting...We should have one talented young and hungry roster! Sean was rusty last year but I expect him to be at his best for this campaign.Top 3 D and O...If we can stay injury free..IT'S OURS!!!!

And the Falcons are overrated year in and year out...I stay in Atlanta and the quality of players we get and they get are different....Better foundation...So that was hype with them..We aint hype..We thump and light the board up..

I'm almost certain that Loomis is thinking that our "window" maybe closing slightly as Drew gets older, but at the same time he seems to be building a youthful team(looks like more power-run?) who can survive with a lesser QB...

Wouldn't that just piss off the Falcon fans; when Drew finally retires, we are winning with defense and a game-managing run game. They seem set in stone that we will fall from greatness when he retires, hilarious if Loomis is preparing for it :mrgreen:

Within the next 2 I would say. After that if we don't have a hell of a team around Brees it won't happen.

The players we draft and develop from this years and next years draft will be hitting their stride by the time Brees retires. At that point we will be able to pay the ones who are worth it big money and get a Qb in the draft that will play at a rookie salary.

We need to draft well, with out a doubt. We draft better earlier in the rounds I do believe when we are 7-9 great.....13-3 not so great. But we draft extremely well in the third round. We know the smaller school prospects with talent or someone with an off the field issue. We just seem to nail the third.

Teams with strong defenses tend to stay in the picture longer...I'm so confident in this D because it starts up front and that's no fluke when it's done that way.To get stronger on the back end only enhances the effectiveness of the front.

Not unless he is any good. If not then it would not be cool at all. I'm not a big fan of former greats kids. Manning clan excluded of course.

Not saying this is going to happen but don't be surprised if our D takes a small step back this year. Going to worst ever to top 5 is a huge jump. It wouldn't surprise me if we dropped a spot or two even with the new talant. Last year was a fresh system which I think caught a few teams by surprise, especially our division opponents. We will probably make up for any drop in takeways

Of course it is.

And with a few tweaks we're better than 90% of the NFL.

As long as we have Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis we will never be a bust. Even with out Drew Brees.

They will make us contenders every year.

The year we won it was easy to predict a step back...That was because we got so many turnovers and no one does that year in and year out.But with this Defense it starts up front and if you have a good group of guys and the right system...You contend yearly!!!! When the Patriots were the Patriots the true dominance of those teams were the defensive front they had.If you don't believe me ask Peyton and Kurt about that group.Like I said it's a new hunger in the building...Y'all thought Sean and Mickey was gon be satisfied with being a dominant offensive team and a I hope we do good defense....No we want dominant units on both sides..year in and year out...WHO DAT
