New Orleans Saints: $849,212

We're making it easy for a team to give us the poison pill contract on JG.

Jimmy Graham for 2 #1 picks?

Hell... I might even take a high 1st and a high 2nd this year.

Nobody's crazy/stupid enough to give up the two #1 picks and the big contract. And these GM's are not stupid, they know that Jimmy would not be Jimmy without Payton and Brees.

I think they outlawed the poison pill contract tactic. They now look at the overall contract and assign some sort of average value to it.

Mickey has this covered.

Well, looking at the list, technically 20 or so teams could take on his contract, ...but realistically, let's say we match anything under 10 a year, and now it's 13 teams in the market... those teams at 15 or 16 million left probably can't commit 65% of that to one player, so really you are talking about 7-8 teams
Oh yeah, plus that two number 1's thing

We'll sign him, or he can play under the tag for another year, at a 1500% increase over last year

Ted Thompson said that it is beyond stupid to give up two picks for Jimmy. Green Bay is out of the picture.

The Poison Pill is a huge part of the reason that the contract has to be forwarded to the league and be reviewed before it is executed.
