METAIRIE -- Though the New Orleans Saints are still one game below .500, they're also just one game behind the best record in the wild-card playoff race.
With the NFC so balanced and the Saints playing their last six games against conference foes, five of which are fellow NFC South teams, New Orleans is better positioned than its poor start might have suggested.

Feels like week 9 of last year. What was our record then? Oh yeah, I remember, 4-5. And what did the press start saying? Oh, right, the Saints have one of the weakest schedules down the stretch, they aren\'t out of it, they can really make a run for a wildcard here. How\'d that turn out? 8-8! Can\'t wait, I\'m so excited now. 8-8 is what I\'ve been dreaming of all season. Thank GOD we have a coach who can deliver mediocrity and inconsistency as consistently as Haz. LOL
