btw. jackson wants more money. 10 M/yr = unhappy diva

Happy Jackson is not worth the money.

And yes I like his game but not at that price.

People tend to forget every time he has a decent year, he wants his contract re-negotiated. Financially he does not make sense here... and that's what it basically comes down to.

As people want to point out that we didn't win a Superbowl with a stud tight end, well you know what, we didn't win one with a Desean Jackson either.

I live in the Philly area and Jackson is a cancer to the locker room. He is very much a me guy and I don't see him as a fit. He takes plays off when he is not getting the ball. He cannot do anything but run deep. He cannot get off press coverage and we already have that issue now. Totally not worth the hype. If another offensive coach like Kelly does not want him why do we.

Nobody thinks we have a realistic chance to get him. But nobody would pass on him if we could get him for 6 to 8 million. None of our receivers all around guys. Colston doesn't have the speed. Stills doesn't have the frame. Devery was all speed. So was Meachem. He'd be an elite version of Devery Henderson. Doesn't matter if he does one thing well. 1,300 yards doing one thing means you do that one thing pretty good.

He doesn't want to play for $10ml so no way if he signing for $6-8ml. I would want him either way. You can get speed in the draft and not pay $8ml for a full rookie deal

If Stills doesn't have the frame, then Jackson definitely doesn't. Stills is an inch or two taller and has him by 15 lbs at least. I'll pass on the diva and all the drama that comes with him.

The point I'm making is you don't come across Calvin Johnson type players that have it all often. He'd come here with a role, and I'm positive he'd serve that role at an elite level.

I already said we can't get him. This whole topic is hypothetical. If we could get him for 8 million I'd hop all over it. Most NFL fans would take him over any of the receivers we already have. I wouldn't take him over Colston in his prime. But Colston right now? Idk. Maybe.

Players like Megatron are one in a generation. If Jackson comes here, he'd play the role of deep threat receiver like he does in Philly, and he'd be enormously overpaid for that role. We can draft a player to fill that same role for a whole lot cheaper, with a lot less drama.

We can draft a player to fit a lot of roles, but that doesn't mean you'll get the same level of production out of him. Who fills the deep threat role in the NFL better than he does? AJ Green? Josh Gordon? That's about it. He's top 3 at his role and top 10 at his position. A position that just so happens to get big money. So yeah, we can draft a guy to fill that role. But we already know what Desean does in that role. A rookie is nothing more then a question mark. With that said, I rather we just draft someone too for 10 milli. But the draft ain't guaranteeing anything.
