Jeff Fisher: Jimmy Graham’s goalpost dunk in Atlanta inspired the rule change

I don't remember a 20+ minute delay because of Graham's duck!

And then last year we had an incident in one of the games where there was a dunk and the goalpost was tilted and the game was shut down for about 25 minutes until they could get the goalpost corrected. That’s unnecessary, and so we just felt that we would include the goalpost in that category as props.”

Jimmy the one-handed wonder.

When forced to utilize both hands… Not so much.

fine ATL for having crappy goal posts...
and it was close to 5 minutes, not 25

I am not agreeing that it was 25 minutes but 5 minutes seems like an awfully short period of time to address an issue that rarely if ever before happens.

After the goal was canted, someone had to contact staff, a long level had to get got :) from somewhere, then the crew had to get to the field and fix the issue.. I am assuming fixing the issue involved loosening some bolts adjusting the goal post then tightening them again... I dont see that being 5 minutes.

You probably only remember it as shorter because they went to commercial.

It was a while... longer than 5 minutes.

Well he has done it to 2 goal post now, last year was Atl and I don't remember the other place, perhaps I google it. Also I don't think it took very long to fix. Maybe they should just play all games outdoors mid-afternoon since the lights out caused a bigger delay.
